 Conservation in Contemporary Art

Not all contemporary art will survive, nor is it intended to.─Debra Hess Norris(Director, Winterthur/University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation)
In the change of artistic conception and the diversification of media, artists nowadays pay more attention to expressions than permanent preservation. The conservation of contemporary art has become an important issue. This exhibition features artworks made of different material, so that visitors can take insight into how Art Bank Taiwan takes care of contemporary artworks, considering the standards and ethics of  conservation in contemporary art.

Welcome to “Art Bank Conservation Lab.” Let’s find out the “beauty and sorrow” of conservation in contemporary Art.
