  About Digiark 」                                     Map
Digiark -Digital Arts Creativity and Resource Center is next to the underground courtyard of National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts. Covering a floor area of nearly 1085 square meters, on 25th of March, 2007, Digiark officially opened to the public and started hosting exhibitions. Setting out to actualize its mission as an “digital arts resource center,” Digiark is an art complex, providing space for exhibitions, educational events and creative dialogues.

Invoking the metaphorical meaning of Noah’s Ark, Digiark is like a vessel for future citizens. It navigates into the futuristic landscapes, while loaded with information codes and symbols of technology times. The space within Digiark is mainly divided into two areas: (1) Experimental Gallery: this is an exhibition space for digital arts. Exhibitions are mainly experimental works by Taiwanese artists. International artists are invited to exhibit or give performances on an irregular basis; (2) Digital Arts Workshop: the workshop organizes digital arts and multi-disciplinary educational events, providing 9 computers for the general public as an access to online information. The computers also serve as learning tools during workshop sessions.

In addition to regular indoor exhibitions and supporting educational activities, Digiark provides an environment imbued with humanistic touch despite the presence of smart technology. Visitors can comfortably sit and relax themselves here while conducting research online, reading from library collection . Digiark offers an inviting space for the public to come to learn about digital arts.

Taiwan Digital Art  and Information Center  (TDAIC)
In 2005, National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts established Taiwan Digital Art and Information Center (TDAIC), a website which regularly gathers domestic and international digital arts event information and runs a database of Taiwanese digital artists and their works. It also provides e-learning services and hosts an online gallery. The website networks with other internationally renowned tech-art centers for the artists to enjoy rich and open resources. So far, TDAIC has already established itself as the most comprehensive online digital arts database and is on its way to become the most inclusive Chinese portal website of global digital arts.
